Dalton, GA (March 10, 2011) – Oriental Weavers USA, Inc. has announced that Lane Sales, Inc. will represent Sphinx Broadloom in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. Larry Lane, President of Lane Sales, has been in the flooring industry for over 30 years. His agency will be responsible for developing new business and managing sales for existing dealers who carry Sphinx broadloom in their area. Lane started the company in August of 2002 with only one person covering the New York City area. Since then the company has grown into a sales agency group covering 3 states representing quality commercial, hospitality and residential floor covering products from around the world. Prior to starting Lane Sales, Larry was with Collins & Aikman Floorcovering, now known as Tandus, managing the Northeast Region. OCTOBER 2010 Lane Sales Group Adds Hospitality Division Long Island, NY…. – Larry Lane, President of Lane Sales announced that they have added a new Hospitality Division. Lane Sales has sold into the hospitality segment before but has added a new concentrated focus by adding three new representatives to it’s sales agency that are 100% devoted to generating hospitality sales. The new division is primarily focused on promoting Lane Sales wool product lines and custom, specifically to A&D firms that specialize in hospitality and to Hospitality Purchasing Agents. Lane explained, “We have had some very good success in selling to the hospitality segment. However, this will greatly increase our sales to this specific segment. It will also give our current sales force the ability to spend more time concentrating on other commercial segments like corporate and retail and to continue to grow our core to the trade showroom, dealer, retail and flooring contractor base of accounts.” The Lane Sales marketing and sales agency are exclusive manufacturers representatives of quality floor covering products. JUNE 2010 Lane Sales Announces New Territory Manager for New Jersey Long Island, NY…. – Larry Lane, President of Lane Sales announced the appointment of Ellen Kaufman to fill the position of Territory Manager for Central and Northern New Jersey and Staten Island. From 2006 to 2010, Ellen Kaufman worked for Summit International Flooring as Senior Vice President. Among several other products, Summit distributes Van Besouw carpets from Holland. She distributed these products both through agents and to dealers as well as calling on architects to create specifications for the products she represented. Ellen’s experience gave her exceptional knowledge in many types of hard and soft flooring materials. Ellen resides in Northern Bergen County, New Jersey. “Ellen is a very hard working dedicated person with great people skills.
